Blue Rock Financial Group is proud to welcome Justin Bennitt as the newest addition to our team.
Justin joins us with over 30 years of experience in the asset management industry and a distinguished track record in portfolio management, research, and client performance. His career began at Brandywine Global Investment Management, where he advanced through key roles including performance analyst and equity research analyst. Notably, he was instrumental in launching and managing a product group that achieved top-decile performance for five consecutive years, ultimately growing to over $2.2 billion in assets before being closed to new investors in 2003.
In 2005, Justin founded the Montchanin Value Fund, a hedge fund with a concentrated equity strategy. The fund consistently outperformed the S&P 500 Index by 700 basis points annually (net of fees) and successfully recovered to its high-water mark following the 2008 financial downturn, closing at the end of 2010 with clients made whole.
He later returned to Brandywine Global in 2013, where he served as a Senior Research Analyst and was eventually promoted to Co-Portfolio Manager for the firm’s micro, small, and smid cap strategies. Under his leadership, that product group grew to $500 million in institutional assets before winding down in late 2024.
Now at Blue Rock, Justin brings decades of insight and strategic depth to our clients and team. Known for his rigorous research methodology and long-term perspective, he will play a critical role in helping our clients navigate their financial futures with clarity and confidence.
Outside the office, Justin enjoys traveling, riding motorcycles, exercising, reading, and playing golf. We are honored to welcome him to Blue Rock Financial Group and look forward to the impact he will make.
